The MV Eagle Ray may not be the ultimate deluxe liveaboard in the Maldives but it has a reputation for delivering a great atmosphere and has all the comforts most divers would need. All 7 cabins, which are either twins or doubles, have air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
The main deck is where the air conditioned saloon is located and you may choose to relax here with full audio-visual entertainment system. Meals are served in the open-air dining area. There is also a large sundeck with exposed and shaded areas.
Diving is conducted from a dhoni which is where your diving gear will remain and which houses the compressors, keeping noise on the mother ship to a minimum.

"I was pleased over all. It was GREAT that there were only 10 divers on the boat! The crew was super friendly. Everyone was helpful. Visiting 2 islands, having a beach braai was nice, unexpected surprises, as was the 2nd to last night with the captain and his mates drumming. I found my room quite nice except for the fact that the a/c didn't work. ... The best night of food was the Maldivian food we ate. I am close to vegetarian, eating a bit of fish, so the food was not spectacular to me. I would have liked to have seen a mix of Maldivian food and veggies that went beyond shades of brown. I didn't starve and the fruit was fantastic. I didn't feel that the noting of being a vegetarian beforehand made much difference. ... We floated around the dhoni while gearing up - it was great to have that much space!! The captain of the dhoni was also excellent at dropping us on each site and plucking us from the sea, no matter what the current was like. The boat boys were great as well." - Audrey Shapiro, USA ...
"Great value for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were a bit dated, but functional." - Toby Chung, USA ...
