The Black Manta is a brand new kid on the block, built with space and relaxation in mind. This Thailand liveaboard is run by one of the most established Phuket dive operators, and has an experienced crew with quality of service very much a part of the liveaboard experience.

She's a big boat with a high standard of accommodation, as well as being very diver friendly with a huge dive deck and plenty of kitting up space. Nitrox is available on board.
There are several cabin types on the Black Manta - 1 Master cabin plus 8 twin and double bed Deluxe cabins, all have en-suite bathrooms with hot water, as well as 1 Budget cabin with wash basin only and use of a communal bathroom. The Master cabin at the front of the boat has a double bed plus separate twin bunk beds - it's ideal for a couple or even for a family. All beds are at least 2 metres long, ensuring a comfortable nights sleep for tall divers. The cabins are serviced daily.
The air conditioned saloon and dining room is comfortable and large enough for all guests to be seated at the same time. The saloon is equipped with a huge plasma TV and state of the art Audio-Visual equipment. You can also eat or relax outdoors on the shaded deck behind the saloon. Above this you find a huge sun deck that's got enough space for a game of football. Not relaxed enough? The boat also has a massage service available!

There's 1 Master double bed cabin, which also has a twin bunk bed in the same room, a mix of 8 double and twin bed Deluxe cabins and 1 Budget twin cabin. The Master cabin and 4 Deluxe doubles are on the lower deck, while 2 Deluxe twins, 2 Deluxe doubles and the Budget twin bed cabin are on the main deck.
Some of the double bed cabins include a double bed with upper bunk and so can be used as twin cabins. All cabins, except for the 1 Budget twin cabin, are en-suite (private bathrooms) with individually controlled air-conditioning.
All the cabins have:
- Air-conditioning
- Sea-view (Main deck have windows, lower deck have portholes)
- Toilet, hot water shower and hand basin (Budget cabin has a basin only)
- Wardrobe and mirror
- Mains outlet 220 Volts - 24 hours per day
- Bedding and towels
- Life jackets

"Black Manta is a nice big stable, well equipped live-aboard. Rooms are large, en-suite bathrooms very nice, everything in good order. Dive deck is huge and handles the full compliment of divers in 2 waves with little drama. Thai staff on the dive deck is excellent, except for smoking in the dive area between dives which is a bit of a safety as well as image issue if you are a non-smoker such as myself.
