MV Dive Race

"The facilities on the boat were incredible for a 'budget' trip. We had a big room with own bathroom, towels, sheets etc were clean and nice. They had spare equipment which was lucky seeing as our fins didn't fit. Staff were all incredible, we didn't have to lift a finger the whole trip. The deck hands helped you on and off with your equipment and changed your tanks, they even put your fins on for you! The cooks also cleaned up after us and being a vego was no drama at all. They cleaned our rooms every day. Beto the Trip leader was incredible especially. Super friendly and knowledgeable.
There were only 4 in each dive group and we were grouped according to number of dives we'd done which is pretty smart and we went down only 2 groups at a time so not such a busy dive deck; and they made it so the groups who had longer dive times went first, again very smart. "We went on the liveaboard Dive Race. The Thai dive boat staff and chefs were absolutely wonderful and I have never been treated better by any dive operation anywhere. They were alwys there to help with gear and getting in an out of the water, worked very hard with a genuine smile at all times, and were simply awesome in everyway. The food was well prepared, plentiful and very good overall. I rate the Thai dive boat staff a 10 on a 1-5 scale. They were awesome! They made me (and I think every diver) feel like Jacques Costeau! "The crew took care about everybody. The first days we had rough sea, so they chose dive sites we were still able to dive relaxed. Safety first was a very good decision. Our divemaster was a good and responsible diver but he didn't know the dives sites as much as I expected. He did a very good job but next time I will choose a more experienced divemaster.
